Marvin Windows and Doors is a proud member of the Marvin Family of Brands. Established soon after the end of WWII, in part to give returning veterans a place to work, Marvin Windows and Doors was founded by William “Bill” Marvin in Warroad, Minnesota. During the 1950s the small Marvin sales force focused on distributing products throughout the Upper Midwest. By the 1960s the Marvin employee force grew to several hundred, and now the firm now employs 4,000 people. The company is currently run by third and fourth generation Marvin family members, from the executive leadership down to the factory floor.
One of the Marvin’s signature product series of interest to homeowners that live in the San Diego beach communities is the Marvin Coastal Complete series. Window and door products in this unique climate need to be particularly durable to stand up to wind, rain, moisture, salt and sun damage. All the window and door products featured in the Coastal Complete series are designated as StormPlus window and doors. Marvin StormPlus window and door products are constructed with extruded aluminum clads which meet the American Manufacturers Association’s toughest specifications for aluminum cladding. They are also built for durability with Fluropon, a fluoropolymer finish, which heightens their resistance to pitting, chalking, fading, corrosion, and marring and they are constructed to retain their color and finish for many years.
