Shopping for Replacement Windows in the Age of COVID-19

Shopping for Replacement Windows in the Age of COVID-19

The coronavirus outbreak put a stop to many activities, such as congregating in large crowds, going to the movies, in-person schooling, and eating inside restaurants. One thing it hasn’t stopped, however, is the need (or desire) for home upgrades. In fact, with people spending more time in their homes, it has created quite a demand for home improvement services.

At our San Diego replacement window company, we are busier than ever, and our reputable competitors seem to be as well. Maybe it’s because people working from home realized just how much their air conditioner had to run during the day to keep their home at a comfortable temperature. Or maybe they were just sick of dealing with windows that didn’t open and close properly. Or perhaps they finally had the time in their schedule to meet with a replacement window company to get more information about having their windows replaced. Whatever the reason, we’ve been getting a lot more calls and emails than normal from people interested in replacement windows for their San Diego homes.

In the past, we wouldn’t hesitate to schedule an in-home appointment and go over all of the details with a potential customer. We’d likely sit in their living room or around their kitchen table and talk to them about the various lines of replacement windows we offer and go room to room taking measurements of the windows and doors they wanted replaced. But like just about everything else, these types of consultations have required some adjustments due to the coronavirus.

Of course, our team members will wear masks and practice social distancing when they meet with any potential customers, but some customers aren’t comfortable inviting us into their homes, even with a mask on. This is totally understandable, which is why we are happy to talk with people outside and even take the measurements we need from outside of the home in order to provide them with a quote. Just like every other business, we’re doing what we need to do to continue to service our customers and keep our team members employed.

We also know that some people in San Diego have seen their income go down during these challenging times, which is why we’re currently offering same-as-cash-financing. Our customers who take advantage of this limited-time financing option will not have to make any payments and will accrue no interest on the cost of their replacement windows for a full six months!

All of this is to say that if you’ve been considering replacement windows for your San Diego home, don’t let the coronavirus stop you! Replacement window companies in San Diego are still open for business and ready to service customers looking to improve their homes with new, energy-efficient windows.
