Troy “Ty” Cobb, was working in the door department of the Red River Lumber Company in Oklahoma when he decided to set out on his own to Los Angeles in 1935. With $5,000, Cobb started his own business:T.M. Cobb, where Ty spent his entire adult life building his business from the ground up. Ty passed away in 1970, but his legacy continues, as T.M. Cobb continues to manufacturer high quality door products for both residential and commercial applications. To date, the company has expanded its facilities to cover all of California and neighboring West coast states. The business is now run by second, third and fourth generation Cobb family members, who oversee five manufacturing plants, four distribution warehouses, and five sales offices.
T.M. Cobb’s signature entry door series for San Diego homeowners is the Pinnacle Collection, which features environmentally friendly construction and the choice of Red Oak, Maple, Cherry, Douglas Fir or African Mahogany wood species. This series is constructed with high profile raised molding applied to both sides of the door to accent the panels and the glass. Veneered stiles and rails are used for maximum stability and durability. The Pinnacle series also features two distinctive types of glass for dramatic, decorative lites, which are available in a myriad of design options, as well as sidelite configurations.
T.M. Cobb is now offering San Diego homeowners the Conmore interior door series, their new five-paneled door that has a clean, simple, and timeless design. Available in standard 6’8” passage and bifold sizes, the Conmore is the second in the series of molded, flat-panel doors in the CraftMaster Interior Door family. The Conmore series features solid core construction and has excellent sound insulating properties, perfect for bedrooms and bathrooms.
