Fun Things to Do in San Diego County

There are quite a few passions to pursue in San Diego. There are so many, in fact, that it’s a fantastic place for people to try something different than their usual weekend and vacation activities. If you’re tired of doing the same things over and over, this is the region for you. In fact, you might find out that discovering a new interest can be its own adventure!

Carlsbad

There are quite a few things to do in Carlsbad. In fact, a case might be made that there’s something for everyone. There’s an outlet mall for the shopaholic, Legoland Waterpark for the kids, and The Crossings at Carlsbad offers an 18-hole championship golf course. You might also choose to visit the aquarium, Legoland itself, or any number of other attractions.

San Diego

While you’re out in San Diego looking for the best burrito, you might be wondering what to do after you’ve eaten. Why not spend the afternoon at the San Diego Zoo? This is billed as an urban paradise for any age and it’s a must-see attraction for those visiting Southern California. You might spend your day monkeying around in their tropical oasis while you visit a variety of amazing habitats for animals that run the gamut from tigers and polar bears to Komodo dragons and elephants, just to name a few. You can even take a trip to their Australian Outback to hang out with some koalas!

Sea World

Sea World, known for its education programs, rides, aquariums, and interactive attractions, can be found spread over 190 acres at Mission Bay Park. Unforgettable happenings begin immediately at their interactive arrival experience, which goes by the name of Explorer’s Reef. You’ll enter under a wave sculpture that’s iconic and will immediately be immersed in an undersea experience where you’ll have the opportunity to touch a live shark, feel cleaner fish nibbling at your fingers, and interact with a ray. There is fun and learning here for all ages.

Hornblower Dining Cruises

With Hornblower Dining Cruises, you’ll have the opportunity to take weekend brunch cruises or a sunset dinner cruise. When it comes to getting a local experience, these 2 cruises are some of the most popular options in the city. These cruises provide a unique combination of either brunch or dinner with exquisite views of the Bay. If you’re a fan of dining with a view of the water, this is the attraction for you. Guests return time after time to see what’s new on a bay that’s forever changing, remember why they moved there to begin with, entertain guests from out of town, or just to see the sites. Along with the amazing skyline of San Diego, you’ll see things like the Star of India, Seaport Village, Coronado Bay Bridge, and more.

Comic-Con

If you’re going to be in the area in mid-July, and know about the trip about a year in advance, you might want to try and get tickets to Comic-Con. This is the biggest pop culture and comics event in the country. It attracts thousands of fans of movie memorabilia and comics, as well as celebs, and artists, along with anything and everything related to pop culture. You can sit in on panels, cosplay, and participate in countless other fun activities.

Guided Tours

If you’re a fan of guided tours, try Another Side of San Diego. They’re locally owned and operated and have become famous for delivering the best adventures and tours in the bay area. Their tours are ideal for corporate groups, families, couples, or just world travelers.

As you can see, the San Diego County area offers fun and adventures for all ages, regardless of where your interests lie. Whether you’re visiting the area for business or pleasure, you’re sure to find something to write home about.
