Replacement window brochures and sales materials are full of beautiful pictures featuring windows installed in gorgeous custom homes. The homes are often large, well-lit, architectural masterpieces. It may be difficult for you to picture those same windows in your own home, especially if it’s a standard tract home or a condominium, or if the style of your home doesn’t resemble any of the homes pictured in the brochures.
Fortunately for replacement window shoppers, a new tool is available that will help you visualize what new windows will look like in your own home. Our San Diego replacement window company, BM Windows, has created what we are calling a “Design Center.” It is a unique online tool in which users can select a home style that most closely resembles their own, insert various styles of replacement windows into it to see what looks best, and play with different configurations of windows and patio doors. The windows and doors can then be customized with features like different trim colors and grid patterns. It’s an innovative and unique tool, and also kind of fun to play around with, even if you aren’t in the market for replacement windows and doors!
We worked with digital marketing firm Modmacro to create the Design Center. The Design Center was a sizable commitment for our company, but we wanted to do it because we knew it would be helpful for our customers and potential customers in the replacement window buying process. It’s free to use for anyone, and we don’t require you to give us your personal information in order to access it. We just want people to take advantage of it and use it to make more informed buying decisions—no matter which San Diego replacement window company they eventually end up going with.
Modmacro CEO Matthew Smith said of the project, “We’ve worked with BM Windows as their digital marketing firm for several years. This was one of the more ambitious projects we’ve taken on together, but I think all of the hard work has paid off and produced something great that will be helpful to many window consumers—in San Diego and beyond. As far as we know, BM Windows is the only independent replacement window company that has anything like this on their website. I think that really speaks to their commitment to consumer education.”
